ERC grants for DTU researchers

Four researchers from DTU have received an extra grant from the European Research Council to bring their research closer to the market.

The four researchers, Daniela Pigosso, Jørgen Arendt Jensen, Minhao Pu, and Nini Pryds, receive an additional grant from the European Research Council (ERC) of 250,000 euros under the Proof of Concept (PoC) instrument.

Grant recipients

Professor Daniela Pigosso, DTU Construct, receives the grant for the project ”Enabling the Prevention of Rebound Effects of Sustainability-Oriented Policies” (REBOUNDLESS POLICIES).
Professor Jørgen Arendt Jensen, DTU Health Tech, receives the grant for the project ”Implementation of Super-resolution Ultrasound Real-time microvascular imaging using Erythrocytes” (iSURE).
Senior Researcher Minhao Pu, DTU Electro, receives the grant for the project ”widELy tunAble SoliTon mIcrocomb Chip” (ELASTIC).
Professor Nini Pryds, DTU Energy, receives the grant for the project ”Thermal Conversion and Storage in One Solid-State Device” (PowerPact).

ERC Proof of Concept

Proof of Concept grants are awarded to Principal Investigators in one of ERC's main grants, e.g. Starting or Consolidator grants.

To be eligible for a PoC grant, the Principal Investigator must be able to demonstrate the relation between the idea to be taken to proof of concept and the ERC frontier research project.
