Introduction to DTU Equipment Information System (EIS)
DTU EIS is an online database of information related to equipment, such as booking and use in research projects.
In this webinar, you'll get an introduction to DTU EIS, which is a system that contains relevant information about equipment and facilities at DTU. DTU EIS can be used by all departments after registration in the system.
Jesper Harrild Sørensen and Ebbe Iskau, DTU Construct/Structural Lab, will go through
- EIS as booking system of equipment
- how to define and approve experiments before initiation in EIS
- EIS as foundation for auditable price calculation (in collaboration with AØR) to be used for charging use of equipment in research projects and in commercial test activities.
- registration of DOIs to equipment to increase research integrity and credibility
There will be ample time for questions.
Jesper Harrild Sørensen is head of DTU Structural Lab where EIS originally was developed and Ebbe Iskau represent AIT as system owner and developer.
Co-host is Jitka Stilund Hansen, DTU Library. The Library supports the use of DataCite for registration of DOIs for facilities and equipment.
