Since New Year 2008 the Department of Mechanical Engineering has changed.
The name of the department has changed. In Danish the department is now called ’Institut for Mekanisk Teknologi’ and ’DTU Mekanik’ in short. In English we remain ‘Department of Mechanical Engineering’, but our abbreviation changes to ‘DTU Mechanical Engineering’.
Our homepage is still http://www.mek.dtu.dk/ and all e-mail addresses stay as @mek.dtu.dk.
Two new sections have been established at DTU Mechanical Engineering:

Sektionen for Materiale Teknologi og Udvikling (MTU) / Materials and Process Technology Section

Sektionen for Mikro/Nano Produktion og Procesudvikling (MPP) / Micro/Nano and Precision Manufacturing Section
Soon, you will be able to visit the two sections on the homepages www.mtu.mek.dtu.dk and www.mpp.mek.dtu.dk.
Two old sections have moved to other DTU departments. The Engineering Design Section has moved to DTU Management Engineering. However, the website of the section is still live on http://www.kp.mek.dtu.dk/.
The Indoor Environment Section has moved to DTU Civil Engineering, but you still find the section on http://www.ik.mek.dtu.dk/.
