Fire Lab
The Fire Lab facilitates research on all aspects of fire safety on smaller structures and materials on component and sub-structural scale.

The Fire Lab possesses:
- A number of flexible fire stations used for measuring the rates for mass loss and effective heat release.
Experiments performed in the lab:
- Load testing experiments high temperatures
- From micro-scale to bench-scale experiments
- Time to ignition with mass loss cone calometry
- Simultaneous thermogravimetric analysis in temperatures ranging from room temperature to 1000° C
- Spalling measure of concrete cylinders
- Flame spread measurement
- Heat of combustion measurement with bomb calorimeter
