Workshops

The workshops provide teaching, advice, and guidance to undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students. The workshops produce mock-ups and prototypes for student projects. The workshops also build, maintain, and remodel laboratory test setups and perform commissioned work.

Facilities in the workshop in building 119:

  • Metal workshop
  • Wood workshop
  • Electronics workshop
  • Hydraulic workshop
  • Test facilities for small and large-scale specimens such as concrete beams, metal rods, composites, and other materials
  • Stationery tensile and compression machines
  • Test setups can be built to handle large specimens. The workshop has hydraulic actuators that can provide up to 5 MN
  • Programmable concrete mixing plant
